No configuration is needed on the user part as the client software automatically assigns the DNS name for the users pc, no registration is needed with the domain provider as the client software interacts with the DDNS domain and assigns in real time a unique DNS name.

Once the application is installed it automatically updates the simpleDDNS.org site with a custom unique DNS name.

To offer DDNS, you will need

• dedicated domain name (i.e. "ournetworkDDNS.com")
• dedicated IP for NS and DNS queries on port 53 and port 80.
• Install DDNS Server software on PC with dedicated IP.
• With domain registrar assign as name server for domain name to dedicated IP.

To offer the service you will need one dedicated domain name with the name server for the domain name assigned to an IP that routs to the PC that you have installed the DDNS Server software on.

The dedicated Ip. address must be unblocked to resolve DNS and HTTP request to the PC running the servers software

The PC running the DDNS software must be a windows pc from XP-Vista or any Win Server.
